The video shows the axed Finance Minister, Mr Nhlanhla Nene falling off the chair during his interview on SABC2.
The African National Congress has finally broken it's silence on President Zuma's action of appointing a new Finance Minister.
In a statement the ANC wrote:
"The African National Congress notes and respects the decision of President Jacob Zuma to appoint a new Minister of Finance, Comrade Desmond Van Rooyen, to replace the former Minister of Finance, Cde Nhlanhla Nene. The President has exercised his Constitutional prerogative to appoint a new Minister who we believe has what it takes to lead the Ministry.
"We believe his experience and tenure as the ANC National Assembly Whip for both Finance Portfolio Committee and ANC Caucus' Economic Transformation Cluster will enable him to provide the necessary leadership in the department. We wish the new Minister well in his responsibilities.
