The newly elected ANC Youth League President, Collin Maine has threatened serious actions if young people are sidelined from leaderships positions.

Maine was addressing SA Young Parents symposium that took place on Friday in Soweto. Scores of young parents and youth generally attended the event which is one of many campaigns that are planned by the ANCYL throughout the country.

In his speech Maine said: "We are not door to door people as the Youth of South Africa. We want to take part in the economy and structures of government."

Maine made references to the resolutions of ANCY congresses that took place in KZN and Mpumalanga.

"We like and appreciate the resolution of KZN and Mpumalanga of taking young people in line with the PGC. We appreciate the 20% but it is not enough." said Collin Maine, ANCYL President.
